The fore "hornies" are called Rhinophore and serve for smelling, that is the most important sense of nudibranchies, as most of species do not have eyes (or dispose of a rudimental form only). As might be seen on the picture, rhinophores are ribbed, that enlarges the surface of scent receptors.
