Alive Haliotis tuberculata abalone can be discovered on the gingerly turned over stone. It has put it's grey-stripped pallium and green horns loose from under it's perfectly camouflaged shell.
Small white flourishes upon the stone are tiny sessile Spirorbis polychaetes.
