We swim closer and closer to the shore, the floor beneath us is sometimes dark because of the slowly swaying waves of Posidonia oceanica, and sometimes bright because of the sand glades adorned by sparse blades of Zostera wrack. Solitary rocks overgrown with white mushrooms of Acetabularia acetabulum mermaid's wineglasses occur from time to time.
