Epinephelus marginatus selects a cave with at least two and obligatorily cramped exits in the capacity of it's permanent home. In case of an unexpected attack, grouper spreads it's fins, dorsal spikes, opercula and mouth wide apart, tightly anchoring itself inside the cave.
