For a long time comb jellies were considered to concern among jellyfish, until more thorough study has permitted allocatingthem into the separate phylum Ctenophora.
Ctenophora travels with an oral end of it's body ahead rowing with the meridianly located rows of laminae made of bundled cilia.
Cilia iridescently oscillate and twinkle along the combs in the rays of the sun. This is utterly a breathtaking spectacle, and beyond any doubt it has been an inspiration source for the makers of the motion picture called "Abyss".
The only problem, it's damn hard to take picture of the diaphanous, floating comb jelly — either by the reason offocusing difficulties, either due to the continuous distance changes caused by surface undulation.
