On the shoal of a small cove where pebbles alternated with sand and cobblestones at the floor, we acquainted with a pack of shrimps living there. They immediately have started perceptible pinching.
The largest (and less transparent) Palaemon serratus common prawn was exploring the lens and hands holding camera by it's lengthy antennae feelers.
This prawn may be distinguished from it's close relatives Palaemon elegans (which where
observed while feeding it with bread crumbs in the Bay), first of all, by it's turned up and serrated rostrum (elegans has it straight).
